The Bose® 251 (Black) Speakers/SA-3
amplifier package is the most popular way to expand your Lifestyle®
48 system outdoors. Enjoy premium sound from speakers that are
elegantly designed, yet durable enough to withstand harsh weather.
Bose 251 outdoor speakers use an Articulated Array® speaker
design to produce an extremely wide sound field. Each outside
speaker cabinet houses two drivers set at precise angles so
you experience consistent stereo effects as you move around
outdoors. And the unique multi-chambered design of the speaker
cabinet minimizes audible distortion from low frequencies, for
sound with clear, natural impact.
More than elegant, these speakers are also durable enough to
withstand weather extremes. They're engineered and tested to
withstand snow, rain, salt and temperature extremes of 140°
F to -22° F. They are also protected by a five-year limited
warranty.

- Do I need a receiver with this package?
- No. The SA-3 amp powers your speakers. The AM/FM
tuner, or other audio source, is provided by your
Lifestyle® system.
- What conditions and temperature extremes
can these speakers withstand?
251 speakers are designed to withstand:
- Sun, high humidity (rain and snow), salt and fog
- Temperature extremes (-40° F to 158° F;
-40° C to 70° C)
- Permanent outdoor installation
- How do I connect the SA-3 amplifier to
my speakers?
- Use the supplied Bose® link cable to first
connect the amp to your Lifestyle® system. Then
connect your speaker wire from the amp to your speakers.
The amp is not designed for outdoor use. You must
position it inside the house or garage, for example,
and run wire out to the speakers.
