Will the SoundDock Series III system work with my iPod® or iPhone®?
The SoundDock Series III system works with and charges iPod and iPhone models with an Apple Lightning™ connector.

Can I play music from a digital music player other than an iPod or iPhone? Yes. Although designed for use with an iPod/iPhone, the SoundDock Series III system also features an auxiliary input to attach other audio devices. You can enjoy the same audio performance from another MP3 player, a portable CD player or music phone.

In addition to controlling the SoundDock system, does the remote also control the docked iPod or iPhone?
The custom remote controls the SoundDock Series III system plus basic iPod/iPhone functions: on/off, pause, volume, track seek/scan and playlist navigation.

Does the SoundDock Series III system charge my iPod or iPhone? Yes. When plugged into a wall outlet, the system will charge any compatible iPod or iPhone docked to the system.

Does the SoundDock Series III system use batteries? No. The system uses AC power from a wall outlet.
