The Bottom Line The Lifestyle V-class series is the newest home theater system line from Bose®. Unlike other current models, these systems adopt a component approach to media sources, allowing you to connect your own devices such as a Blu-ray or HD DVD high definition DVD player or gaming console to the surround sound media console. A sleek, informative display sits in view, providing system status, allowing the connection-rich media console to be tucked away. An integrated remote control makes operating simple (and helps reduce clutter!)
Video Technology The system outputs an HDMI digital video signal to your TV. This is today’s most advanced connection standard, enabling the best possible picture quality at 1080p resolution. If your TV doesn’t have an HDMI input, you may another high quality connection standard such as a component video. See our Bose HDMI page for a list of these other connection methods.
It’s Got Connections Video inputs are flexible and abundant, allowing you to connect a variety of HD sources. The system sports four video inputs (two are HDMI) and five audio sources – each with digital optical and analog jacks.
Very Upscale The system will upscale video sources up to 1080p resolution. In simple terms, it means processing and enhancing video signals of lower resolutions by adding lines of resolution, thereby upscaling them to higher definition.
Audio Technology This system comes with four Bose® renowned Direct/Reflecting® cube speakers. These speakers are inconspicuous and can be optionally wall mounted or attached to table or floor stands. A low profile center-channel speaker and the Bose® Acoustimass® module, which provides the deep, dramatic bass sounds and which can be placed out of sight, rounds out the audio system. Surround sound effects are accomplished through 5.1 digital decoding. The system even improves the sound quality of more basic audio recordings through Videostage® 5 decoding and post-processing circuitry.
The Power to Adapt The system employs ingenious ADAPTiQ® technology to tailor system sound to your room’s unique audio characteristics. (High ceilings or low ceilings; carpet or bare floor?) Using a supplied sensor, you’ll follow a simple, guided setup process to “teach” your system about your room.
Expandability/Wireless Bose® link allows you to enjoy music from your home theater system in a wireless or wired fashion in up to 14 other rooms such as the kitchen, patio, study, or bedroom.
